According to reports, Apple may experience shortages of certain components of the new iPad 2 because of the major earthquake and tsunami that happened in Japan recently.
Some of the parts of the iPad 2, particularly the flash memory, used to store video and music on the gadget, and the battery, come from Apple Japan. Such components need advance technology and because of the sad event that occurred, a lot of things have been affected.
For what happened, I think it's not right to focus on such trivial matters. If the manufacturing of the gizmo gets affected due to the shortage of materials, so be it; they can always find a way to resolve the problem. We should instead focus on finding some way to help Japan and hope for the best. Maybe Apple can give donations to the victims for every iPad 2 they sell, right?
